Our client is an established Adelaide commercial flooring contractor specialising in polished concrete, epoxy and protective coatings, surface preparation, concrete repair, screeding, floor levelling and waterproofing.
With a strong crew already in place, we are looking to appoint an experienced Leading Hand or strong 2IC to work alongside our clients existing Leading Hand.
This position has been created to strengthen our clients team structure, provide leadership continuity and reduce reliance on one key person. You’ll work side-by-side with an experienced operator while being ready to step up when required.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position. You will be on the tools daily while also helping coordinate crew activities, maintain quality standards and keep projects running to schedule.
Alongside the Leading Hand, you will confidently step into the lead role — keeping the crew productive, maintaining quality workmanship and ensuring safety standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on the tools across commercial flooring projects
- Apply protective coatings and waterproof membranes
- Assist in coordinating labour and daily site activities
- Lead and support semi-skilled assistants and technicians
- Maintain strong safety, quality and productivity standards
- Troubleshoot issues on site and keep works moving efficiently
About You
- Proven experience in commercial flooring or similar trade background
- Strong technical capability across coatings, screeding and surface prep
- Natural leader who can step up without hand-holding
- Positive, energetic presence on site
- Solutions-focused and calm under pressure
